2. Personal data we handle

The Website has no contact forms, user accounts, newsletter sign-up, online payments or live chat, and it does not itself collect personal data through such features. Personal data reaches us when you choose to email us, including through the email links on the Website (for example the Contact, demo request and role enquiry links, which open your own email application with a pre-filled subject line).

If you email us, we may receive:

• your name;
• business contact information, such as your email address, telephone number and job title;
• your company or professional affiliation;
• the content of your message; and
• any other information you choose to provide.

Please do not send sensitive personal data that is not needed for your enquiry.

The Website is hosted by IONOS. Delivering a web page necessarily involves the hosting provider handling technical connection data. Details of any server logs kept by the hosting provider depend on that provider’s own configuration and privacy information.

3. Why we use personal data

We use the personal data you send us to:

• respond to your enquiries;
• handle requests for a demonstration;
• discuss potential commercial relationships;
• manage related business communications; and
• meet legal obligations that apply to us.

The Website does not offer a newsletter.

4. Legal basis

Which legal ground applies depends on the situation and on which data protection law applies to you. Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following grounds as appropriate to the specific activity:

• Legitimate interests, for example to respond to business enquiries and manage business communications, where these interests are not overridden by your rights;
• Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, for example when you ask about a demonstration or a potential engagement;
• Legal obligation, where we must keep records or respond to lawful requests; and
• Consent, only if we ask for it for a specific purpose.

As we are based in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) also applies to our handling of personal data.

5. Who receives personal data

Emails sent to hello@wowbuilders.io are handled through the following providers:

• IONOS, which provides the Website hosting and administers the email service for this address;
• Google (Gmail) and Microsoft (Outlook), whose mailboxes currently receive forwarded copies of incoming messages for our use.

These providers process data in connection with the services they provide to us, under their own terms and privacy information. We have not listed where their infrastructure is located. We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

6. International transfers

We are established in Hong Kong, and our service providers may process or give access to personal data in countries outside the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. We do not assume that transfers to Hong Kong, or to any other country, are covered by an EU adequacy decision. Where data protection law requires a lawful transfer mechanism for such transfers, we will ensure that one is in place.

7. How long we keep personal data

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was received, including managing the related business relationship, and for as long as applicable legal obligations require. The period depends on the nature of the communication.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you are and the law that applies, you may have rights over your personal data. These can include the right to ask for access to your data and for it to be corrected, and, under some laws, to ask for erasure or restriction, to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance you may request access to and correction of your personal data.

You may also complain to a data protection authority, such as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data in Hong Kong or, if you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, your local supervisory authority.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

The Website’s own code does not set cookies, does not use browser local or session storage, and does not load analytics, advertising, social-media or other third-party tracking tools. The fonts, images and scripts used by the Website are served from the Website itself. For this reason the Website does not show a cookie consent banner.

If we introduce such technologies in the future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

10. Security

We take reasonable organizational and technical measures that are proportionate to the personal data we handle. Email sent over the internet cannot be guaranteed to be fully secure, so please avoid including confidential or sensitive information in a first message.

11. Children

The Website is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us so that we can address it.
